Our Classes
Math Monkey™ classes are designed to give your children the ultimate advantage. With a curriculum that is both fun and challenging, your little monkey will be excited to come back each week. Kids will ascend through the five Math Monkey "Troops." Each troop builds on the concepts learned in the previous troop. It's time to challenge your little learner and find the appropriate class below.

Class Descriptions
Suggested Troop placement:
Lemurs: Pre-K - 1 (If qualified)
Chimpanzee: 1st - 2nd Grade
Orangutan: 2nd - 4th Grade
Baboon: 3rd - 6th Grade
Gorilla: 4th - 7th Grade
Note: All children are placed in classes base on individual
ability and assessment. Not all children will qualify for our program.
The suggested placement above is for reference only.
Certain classes may have prerequisite classes.
Lemurs – Students understand basic single digit addition and subtraction through 6 (at a minimum) with little to no use of objects or fingers, comparison of objects, patterns, clock, coins and skip counting. (Recommended for entering Kindergarten or in Kindergarten)
Spider Monkeys – Students understand basic single digit addition and subtraction through 18 with little to no use of objects or fingers, adding and subtracting double digits with no carries or borrows, measurement, adding using Complements of 10, missing addends, clock and money. (Recommended for 1st Grade)
Chimpanzees – Students understand Complements of 10 when adding and subtracting, Traditional vs. Mental addition with carries, Borrowing vs. Lending subtraction, time, money, measurement, graphs, line segments, perimeter, small word problems and patterns leading to multiplication (Recommended for 2nd Grade)
Orangutans – Students work on different techniques to add, subtract and multiply mentally, an intro to negative numbers, times tables, rounding, estimating, units of measurement, perimeter and area, Magic of 11 and Nikhilam multiplication and in-depth word problem solving. (Recommended for 3rd Grade)
Baboons – Students work on different advanced techniques to add, subtract and multiply mentally, subtraction using negative numbers, digit sums to check work, fractions, ratios, demials, traditional long division, percents, graphing, perimater and area. (4th Grade)
Gorillas – Students work on different advanced techniques to multiply mentally, solve advanced word problems, decimals, metric, statistics, logic puzzles, and more long division. (Recommended for 5th Grade)
Math Monkey Online Tutoring – This program is designed for the student, over 3rd grade, who is looking for a more private tutoring session.
